Biomimicry Apartment

For my junior undergrad architecture studio, I worked with a partner to design an apartment building inspired by a biological phenomenon. We were interested in cross sections of mushroom spores, and the natural gradation that is formed as the cell walls transition from thick to thin across the diameter of the spore. Running with this bit of inspiration, we attempted to design apartments by agglomerating irregular cells, and form a complex by stacking and joining them together.
