Dystopian Type Specimens

For an assignment in a graphic design class, we had to create type specimens for a font family - essentially display posters that showcase the font in use. In the lead up to the 2016 election, fascism and dystopia was on my mind for some indiscernible reason. I made a set of three posters to showcase the font Vitesse, a powerful slab serif font that I envisioned a fictional dystopian government called Xerxes might use. The background elements were generated using a Processing program I wrote that does a simple simulation that recalls fire or lightning, depending on the parameters I set.
